Donkeys and chipmunks make the holiday season ring

Heads up! This article was imported from a previous version of The Signal. If you notice any issues, please let us know.

Need something to listen to while studying for finals or packing for break? We've rustled up a list of our favorite holiday and winter-type songs that should cheer the heart and bring back fuzzy memories of not being at school.

Happy Hanu-Christma-Kwanzaa-kah!

Let it Snow

"White Christmas," Bing Crosby

The origin of millions of children's yearly disappointment (at least in N.J.) on Dec. 25.

"Winter Wonderland," Phantom Planet

The band warms up this typically frosty song with some tropical cha-cha.

Happy Holidays

"Rockin' around the Christmas Tree," Brenda Lee

This song brings to mind "Home Alone" - and how weird-looking Macaulay Culkin has gotten.

"Opera of the Bells," Destiny's Child

Beyonce and Co. find the a capella groove of this classic song.

"Happy Christmas (War is Over)," John Lennon

Still a classic despite Yoko Ono's singing.

"The Hanukkah Song," Adam Sandler

The best study-guide for your killer "Jewish Celebrities" test.

"All I Want for Christmas is You," Mariah Carey

To some, this represents Carey's "best work."

"Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays," 'NSYNC

Harmonized holiday greetings from the fab-five of Christmas past.

Cartoons

"Linus and Lucy," Vince Guaraldi Trio

Straight from "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Be sure to shake your head from side to side while listening.

"Lonely Christmas Eve," Ben Folds

Sung from the perspective of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." Bonus points for name-checking Cream of Wheat.

"The Chipmunk Song," Alvin and the Chipmunks

Do you want to hula hoop? Alvin does. This song is so cute and can bring back old Christmas memories like nothing else.

So 80s, So Good

"Last Christmas," Wham!

What could be better than singing along with pouty George Michael? Singing the song obnoxiously loud to "someone special (special)."

"Christmas Wrapping," The Waitresses

Pure 80s genius. It's just about impossible to not bounce around the room (or rock out in your car) when this comes on.

"Do They Know It's Christmas?," Band Aid

Twenty years later and they still don't celebrate Christmas in Africa.

Animals

"Donna and Blitzen," Badly Drawn Boy

This song, simply put, just makes you want to slow dance ... in the snow.

"Dominic the Donkey," Lou Monte

A-jiggity-jig, hee-haw, hee-haw. Period.
