Tristan is a senior journalism & professional writing major with a minor in political science. He joined The Signal in Fall 2022 as the Arts & Entertainment editor. He is looking forward to bringing many new ideas to the newspaper as editor-in-chief this semester!

Outside of The Signal, Tristan is a student mentor for the School of the Arts & Communication, and he enjoys music, cooking and hiking.

Tori is a senior English and secondary education major with a minor in journalism and is set to study special education for her master's degree. She joined the Signal in 2021 as a news writer and was promoted to managing editor during her junior spring semester. Now, as Editor-in-Chief of her senior spring, she’s excited to celebrate her final semester as an undergraduate working with the Signal staff and upholding the great reputation of the organization. 

Victoria is passionate about writing about education advocacy and current events. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Matt is a senior journalism & professional writing major with minors in marketing and communications. He joined The Signal as a staff writer for the Nation & World section during his freshman year and has served as features editor and managing editor for two semesters. Matt is super excited to be The Signal’s editor-in-chief this semester and he hopes to continue growing The Signal’s reach on campus!

Outside of The Signal, Matt enjoys playing with his dog Willy and rooting for the New York Mets!

Aidan Mastandrea - News Editor Spring 2025 Aidan Mastandrea - News Editor Spring 2025

Aidan is a senior journalism and professional writing major with a minor in communication studies. He joined The Signal during his sophomore year as a Staff Writer for the Sports Section and was the Sports Section editor in 2024. He is excited to take on a new role as the News Editor this semester.

Outside of The Signal, Aidan is a part of the club basketball team here at the College and also loves to golf. 


Liz Ciocher - News Editor Spring 2024 Liz Ciocher - News Editor Spring 2024

Liz is a senior at the College studying journalism and professional writing while taking a minor in creative writing. After graduating with an Associate’s degree from Ocean County College in 2022, she transferred to the College and found her place in The Signal. Prior to this semester, Liz has been a contributing writer, staff writer, and Arts & Entertainment Editor for our program.

Outside of The Signal, Liz spends a lot of time watching movies, reading, and weight training. She is always looking for something to write about!

Rebecca is a senior psychology and communication studies double major with a minor in professional writing. She is thrilled to serve as Features editor this semester! Previously, she served as News editor and Arts & Entertainment editor.

Outside of her work with The Signal, Rebecca is a Bonner Community Scholar and a member of Theta Phi Alpha. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and creative writing.

Parisa is a senior marketing major and journalism minor. She began working with The Signal in 2023, starting as a staff writer and became Opinions Editor in Fall 2024. She is excited to continue her growth as Nation & World Editor this semester.

Outside of The Signal, Parisa enjoys traveling, thrifting, going to the gym, animals, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Aliyah is a senior biology major at TCNJ. She started writing for The Signal during her freshman year as a News contributor and later as a Nation & World staff writer. She looks forward to continuing as the Nation & World Editor this semester.

Mike is a senior political science major with a minor in environmental studies. He started writing for The Signal in the fall of 2020, covering Student Government and Student Finance Board. Since then he served as nation & world editor, managing editor, and served as Editor-in-Chief last semester.

Outside of The Signal, Mike is a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi and interning for a local environmental nonprofit.

Elizabeth is a senior elementary and iSTEM education major in the five-year master’s program for special education. She has been working with The Signal since Fall of 2021, her first semester at TCNJ. She is excited to return as The Signal’s Multimedia Coordinator!

Outside of her work with The Signal, she is a sports photographer for the TCNJ Athletic Department, an EMT, and a member of Sigma Kappa. She enjoys drinking coffee and spending time with friends.

Liam Simonelli - Editorial Cartoonist Spring 2025 Liam Simonelli - Editorial Cartoonist Spring 2025

Liam is a senior working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. This semester marks his fourth drawing for The Signal. His mission as an editorial cartoonist is to make readers laugh and think about the issues of our time.

Aside from The Signal, he works part-time with Counterpoint.com, a press syndicate where he contributes cartoons and distributes the works of others to clients. His work has been featured in The Washington Post, Politico.com, The Star-Ledger, The Dayton Daily News, The Tampa Bay Times, and more. He is an avid music fan and a loyal cat dad.

Ela is a senior Early Childhood Education and Psychology major. She started working at The Signal Fall of her sophomore year and is very excited to continue growing The Signal’s social media presence!
