Life was dramatically different for both me and celebrities when I started writing this column two years ago. While some of the most iconic personalities in Hollywood passed, new stars were born. When “Celebritease” began in the Fall of 2015, Taylor Swift was dating Calvin Harris and we were planning a presidential campaign in 2020 for Kanye West to lead our nation. As for a “Sign of the Times,” Harry Styles was leading One Direction while Zayn Malik broke off his engagement to Perrie Edwards. A lot can change in two years.
Currently, Swift is lurking around Nashville gearing up for a more country style album to release in 2018. Styles recently announced he will be kicking off his solo career this summer on a world tour. Tickets go on sale May 5, while his debut album will release on May 12. Niall Horan is finishing up his first solo album and is rumored his next single will be called “Slow Hands.”
One thing that hasn’t changed over the years is Prince William and Kate Middleton’s love for each other. The two tied the knot in 2011 and had two adorable children, George and Charlotte. The royal family continues to inspire the world with their dedication to mental health awareness and other charitable causes.
In 2015, Chris Soules was America’s heartthrob on the 19th season of “The Bachelor.” The farmer from Iowa thought he found love with Whitney Bischoff, but they split later that year. In 2017, Soules was arrested for a fatal hit and run accident in Iowa. It was reported he rear ended a truck in front of him, leaving the driver dead. Soules was not charged with driving under the influence, and his lawyers claim he stayed with the victim trying to resuscitate him.
Stars who came out to the Stagecoach Festival had a blast at country’s biggest musical festival. Musicians like Nick Jonas and Niall Horan hung out with country duo Dan and Shay while the biggest names in country like Shania Twain took the stage. As festival season picks up for summer, we can’t wait to watch our favorite artists rock out on stage.
Writing this column each week has been such a rewarding experience. From award shows to engagements, I have loved gossiping as you read along. Johnanthony Alaimo wrote the celebrity gossip column before me. In his final article he wrote that he hoped another sociopath would take his place. It has been an honor to fill those shoes, and to the next sociopath, I can’t wait to see where you take the column.
I will leave you with these wise words from Kanye West, “I made that bitch famous.”

Whether or not you’re a fan of the new Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino, everyone’s reactions to the new drink were priceless. Katy Perry was among those who tried the drink, but she spit it out after her first sip. If the sour drink wasn’t for you, don’t worry, plenty of big news dropped this week.
Chris Pratt attended his Hollywood Walk of Fame star unveiling with his adorable family. While he recently faced criticism for comments regarding the lack of “blue collar Americans” representation in movies, he later quote-tweeted an article that criticized him for the remark. “That was actually a pretty stupid thing to say,” he said. “I'll own that. There's a ton of movies about blue collar America.”
While the comment was not well-received, his appearance on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was met with high praise.
The morning of the ceremony, Pratt’s wife, Anna Faris, live-tweeted photos of the down-to-earth couple getting ready. From Pratt doing yoga to playing the guitar, she wasn’t afraid to show her husband at his most vulnerable. In a sweet post, Faris showed Pratt teaching their son, Jack, how to tie his tie. Then, the family was all smiles on the red carpet.
Also this week, Selena Gomez attended her former onscreen brother’s wedding. The “Wizards of Waverly Place” cast reunited for David Henrie’s wedding on Friday, April 21. Gomez took to Instagram to commemorate the occasion.
“Very much in my feelings about my big brother getting married,” Selena wrote. “Even though we for sure knew it would be him first. May God bless you and your beautiful wife Henrie!"
She included a collage of photos that featured a throwback to the cast on set and present shots from the wedding.
Meanwhile, Serena Williams, who is engaged to Reddit Co-Founder Alexis Ohanian, confirmed on Wednesday, April 19, that she is pregnant with their first child. Williams was already almost two-months pregnant when she won the Australian Open on Jan. 28, and no one had a clue.
“I’m elated for her; I’ve seen her with our son, and she will be a great mother,” said Andy Roddick, a tennis player and a childhood friend of Williams, according The New York Times.
If all of this is a “Sign of the Times” as Harry Styles has been signing, there is good fortune ahead.

You may be too busy binge-watching “13 Reasons Why,” but you should take a moment to remember that the real world is still happening around you. For our favorite celebrities, however, real life may seem pretty unrealistic.
Coachella started on Friday, April 14, and will continue until Sunday, April 23. Each year, the California music festival draws in thousands of people, including some of the biggest names in Hollywood. While Beyoncé intended to be this year’s headliner, her pregnancy put an end to that idea. But no worries — Lady Gaga, who is fresh off her Super Bowl halftime performance, will take her place.
Kendall Jenner headed to the festival in a sparkly top and fedora, but was spotted looking unhappy at her first appearance since her Pepsi commercial faced extreme backlash. Her sister, Kylie — wearing her signature bright wigs — also made a statement at Coachella. Amid rumors that she and her longtime boyfriend, Tyga, had broken up, she was spotted hanging out with Travis Scott.
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd used the festival as a time to cozy up. Gomez posted a selfie with her man on Instagram and the two were spotted by paparazzi showing excessive public displays of affection. The Weeknd, however, did leave Gomez alone for a surprise performance alongside hip-hop artist, Nav.
In other news, country star Sam Hunt got married on Saturday, April 15, according to PEOPLE. The “Body Like A Backroad” singer had an intimate wedding in his Georgia hometown.
“We are both kind of introverted people for the most part, so we don’t like celebrating ourselves too much,” Hunt told CBS regarding his wedding plans. “If there ever is a time to do it, it is now, and it is more to celebrate the union of marriage than it is each other. I am excited about doing that.”
The two have kept their lives very private aside from Hunt’s album “Montevallo,” which was inspired by the time the two spent broken up. In his latest single “Drinkin Too Much,” Hunt addresses his new wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, and apologizes for making her private life public.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle is struggling to keep her life private as she dates one of the most recognizable royals in the world, Prince Harry. The prince traveled to her hometown in Toronto to spend Easter weekend with her family.
“Despite the distance, the media attention and everything else, there’s a real ease to their relationship,” a source recently told PEOPLE. “It just works. They are deeply happy.”

Harry Styles made his solo debut on Friday, April 7, with his track, “Sign of the Times.” Spotify’s technical difficulties slightly hindered the release, but overall, the singer was met with high praise for the powerful ballad. The song makes a statement, proving that Styles’ boy band days are behind him.
Harry Styles made his solo debut (envato elements).
Andrew Unterberger, contributor for Billboard, called the track “defiantly rock, proudly bombastic and impossibly British included.”
While Styles was slower than his former bandmates to seek a solo career, his newest track proves it was worth the wait.
Meanwhile, The Weeknd took to Instagram to post a sweet picture with his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. The dark photo features Gomez giving him a kiss on the cheek. Fans were excited to finally see the couple take their relationship to social media.
Also this week, Simone Biles told PEOPLE she’s only been on one proper date, which isn’t hard to believe considering her rigorous schedule with gymnastics and “Dancing With The Stars.” Biles, however, confirmed that the date went well and will likely lead to a second.
Biles also mentioned that she enjoys exploring different styles of dance on “DWTS.” While Biles certainly doesn’t need a man, the Mirror Ball Trophy wouldn’t be a bad addition to her life.
In other news, Emma Stone was gifted an epic viral promposal by an Arizona high school student. Jacob Staudenmaier, a Ryan Gosling look-alike, recreated the opening scene of “La La Land” to ask Stone to his prom.
The video garnered enough attention that it caught Stone’s eyes. Changing the song’s words with the help of his peers, Staudenmaier gave Stone a lot to consider. Unfortunately, the actress couldn’t attend, which Staudenmaier revealed on “Good Morning America” while reading a letter from Stone.
“Jacob, thanks for making the greatest proposal I have ever received,” Stone wrote in a letter, according to Staudenmaier. “I can’t tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video. I'm in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I'm grateful you thought of me.”
If only I had thought to publicly ask Styles to be my date to my cousin’s upcoming wedding. Harry, if you stumble across this article, call me.

With a lot less pressure on his shoulders during MLB opening day, Alex Rodriguez strolled around New York City on Sunday, April 2, as the Yankees took the field in Florida. Rodriguez was spotted enjoying the spring weather with his new flame, Jennifer Lopez. The two have been dating since March and Rodriguez recently spoke about the relationship on “The View.”
“We’re having a great time, she’s an amazing, amazing girl, and one of the smartest human beings I’ve ever met and also an incredible mother,” Rodriguez said.
Despite no longer being together, Chris Evans and Jenny Slate have said nice things about each other post-breakup.
“She’s so vulnerable, so honest, so interested in other people more than herself, she's incredibly compassionate, there’s just nothing to not love about her,” Evans told PEOPLE.
Slate has used the breakup as a way to start fresh. She moved into a new apartment, where she will live alone for the first time.
Despite initially feeling that she wasn’t Evans’s type, the two dated for nine months, according to E! Online.
“Chris is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, to the point where sometimes I would look at him and it would kind of break my heart,” Slate told Vulture. “His heart is probably golden-colored, if you could paint it.”
In the end, the two felt that their lifestyles were too different to make the relationship work. Slate felt that she needed to be alone, while Evans said he is ready to settle down. In my opinion, it is refreshing to see the two exes put each other’s well-being above fame.
Also this week, Nicole Kidman revealed that her husband, Keith Urban, made her cry, but for a great reason. He shared that his romantic song “The Fighter” was written about her.
“I remember when he first played it for me, and I started to cry because he writes these things, and they come out of I don’t know where. They’re like beautiful gifts,” Kidman told PEOPLE.
In other news, the 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards aired on Sunday. Hosts Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley kicked off the show with a series of photos featuring the duo in sexy cowboy getups.
While Urban was the most nominated musician at the award show, Sam Hunt also proved himself. During his performance of “Body Like A Backroad,” Hunt left the stage to sing to his fiancée Hannah Fowler. His soon-to-be wife was adorably shy on camera, leaving the audience swooning.

Now that we’re past the semester’s halfway point, you might be thinking to yourself “Where does the time go?” To make you feel even older, this week marks the anniversary of many college students’ childhood pop culture staples.
The YouTube classic “Potter Puppet Pals: The Mysterious Ticking Noise” turned 10 years old on Thursday, March 23. The famous video — made during what I consider the heyday of YouTube — features Harry Potter-themed puppets crazily popping in and out of the scene repeating their character’s name.
Years later we may all be wondering why this was so funny, but I challenge you to show it to any middle schooler to gauge the humor.
On Friday, March 24, the “Hannah Montana” series celebrated 11 years since its premiere on Disney Channel. Fashion vests and layered tank tops may be a thing of the past, but the show itself remains a cultural icon.
The show helped launch the careers of guest stars like Selena Gomez and Corbin Bleu, who went on to star in other Disney Channel originals. And, of course, no middle school iPod would have been complete without Hannah Montana hits like “If We Were A Movie” and “Nobody’s Perfect.”
Co-stars of the show, Emily Osment and Jason Earles recently gave the Twittersphere a mini “Hannah Montana” reunion. Osment posted a picture of Earles, letting fans know that she ran into him on a hike. Twitter exploded instantly and users were calling for a real reunion.
However, Miley Cyrus, who played the main character, has previously revealed it wasn’t always the best of both worlds growing up in the limelight. In 2015, she opened up to Marie Claire about anxiety and body image issues caused by her television role. Cyrus has since liberated herself from her Disney past, so it is unlikely we will see a reunion in the future.
Kevin Jonas, on the other hand, proved he was still proud of his Disney roots. On Friday, March 24, the eldest Jonas posted a video to Instagram of his daughter rocking out in front of the television. She was dancing to Demi Lovato singing in “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.”
“This is weird…..” he wrote in the caption.
Jonas’s younger brother Joe recently mentioned that another “Camp Rock” may be possible.
“If it made sense, sure,” he told Marie Claire. “It would be funny to do a spin on it. Do the graduating days, make it kinda dark. ... We've joked around about the idea a couple times.”
Lovato herself confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that she came up with the idea to have another sequel, and that it will actually be happening. We can only hope that Kevin Jonas’s adorable daughters will be in on the casting.

Bachelor Nation can finally take a sigh of relief as bad boy Nick Viall’s season has finally ended. Viall proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi, a special education teacher from Canada. Months after the final rose was handed out, along with an engagement ring, the couple was finally able to enjoy their first public date.
Immediately, the Twittersphere noticed that the couple appeared awkward and the show was accused of being inauthentic.
Another slight flub from “The Bachelor” finale included a reused ring. Viall proposed with a 3.75-carat round-cut center diamond stone surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds and two larger baguette-cut diamonds, made by celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, however, viewers noticed that the ring looked familiar. Coincidentally, Robby Hayes used the exact ring to propose to JoJo Fletcher in season 12, where he was rejected.
“I bring six rings and over the years, over the nine years, some are the same, some have changed settings or are re-designed, and some are totally new,” Lane told PEOPLE.
In other news, Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski eloped over the weekend to avoid drama. Sadoski showed off his wedding band on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” where he talked about the intimate event.
Maybe Viall and Grimaldi should follow in their footsteps, since the couple is expecting their first child together and have been engaged since last September.
Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian has been anything but shy when it comes to showing off her boyfriend and basketball player Tristan Thompson. The two recently spent a vacation at the beach, where Kardashian called Thompson “my love” in an Instagram post.
She also threw her new beau a gold-themed birthday bash. Posting a loving photo on Instagram of the two gazing into each other’s eyes, Kardashian seems to have officially put ex-husband Lamar Odom in the past.
“To the happiest of birthdays my love! To the first of many more together! May God continue to bless you in all of your days! And may we forever look at one another like this,” Kardashian said in the caption.
To ring in the St. Patrick’s Day festivities, Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated together in London on Friday, March 17. Middleton wore a deep green coat with a matching hat as she greeted residents. The two also participated in the Irish Guards St. Patrick's Day Parade at Household Cavalry Barracks and then drank a pint of Guinness beer for extra measure.
It’s pretty lucky being famous, right?

Just when it seemed there was no good news left in the world, Adele surprised us with her marriage. During a concert on Saturday, March 4, in Brisbane, Australia, the artist confirmed that she and longtime partner Simon Konecki said “I do."
Adele surprised us with her marriage (envato elements).
While introducing her hit song “Someone Like You,” Aele spoke about the hard feelings associated with breaking up and moving on.
“Obviously, I can’t go through with those feelings because I’m married now. I’ve found my next person,” she said.
Konecki and Adele first met in 2011, but kept their relationship mostly out of the spotlight until the couple announced their pregnancy in 2012. Their son Angelo is now 4 years old.
In other news, Coldplay’s Chris Martin turned 40. To celebrate, he threw himself a party with a “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” theme. Guests such as Orlando Bloom and Rob Lowe were given golden tickets in order to enter the event.
This was Bloom’s first public appearance since his recent split with Katy Perry. The couple dated for a little over a year and decided to take some time apart.
Martin’s ex-wife of 10 years, Gwyneth Paltrow, still took the time to wish him a happy birthday on Instagram.
Emma Watson confronted critics who suggested that posing with her breasts partially exposed for a recent Vanity Fair photoshoot was hypocritical of her feminist views.
“It just always reveals to me how many misconceptions and what a misunderstanding there is about what feminism is,” Watson said in an interview with Reuters. “Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it. It’s very confusing.”
In the photo, taken by acclaimed fashion photographer Tim Walker, Watson posed topless with a white shawl draped over her shoulders.
Meghan Markle was spotted partying with some of Prince Harry’s closest pals at a wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on Thursday, March 2. The wedding was the couple's first public event together.
During the wedding, an onlooker told PEOPLE that the two shared plenty of public displays of affection, including a sweet kiss.
As long as the prince isn’t walking down the aisle anytime soon, there is still hope for the rest of us.

Jimmy Kimmel took to humor on Sunday, Feb. 26, to keep the 89th annual Oscar Awards moving, despite going over its allotted run time.
Following a performance of Justin Timberlake’s nominated song “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” Kimmel joked about an NSYNC reunion.
Kimmel also mentioned that prior to the show, he had received numerous messages about bringing the divided nation together.
“I have to bring the nation together, but I can’t do that,” he said.
However, he did attempt to heal his damaged relationship with Matt Damon, which has been a long-running joke.
Prior to the show, women graced the red carpet in neutral tones with embellishments and subtle details, while men mixed it up with hints of color. Naomie Harris, nominated for her role in “Moonlight,” wore a simple white dress, pairing it with pink eyeshadow and mixed-matched yellow heels.
Emma Stone stepped out in a gold, Swarovski crystal-embroidered gown that featured a fringe bottom. Her co-star Ryan Gosling rocked a navy blue suit while Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took a more traditional royal blue approach.
Nominees, presenters, musicians and guests also wore blue ribbons to show their support “for the rights and civil liberties guaranteed by the Constitution to everyone in the United States,” a statement from the American Civil Liberties Union reads.
In other news, nominee Natalie Portman did not appear at the award show due to her upcoming due date.
“Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards,” Portman said in statement to PEOPLE. “I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends.”
During the show, Viola Davis took home the award for best actress in a supporting role for her portrayal in “Fences.” In her speech, she spoke about wanting to tell the stories of those who had dreamed big, loved and lost. She hopes to continue to bring those stories to life in her acting.
Meanwhile, Kimmel continued to incorporate humor into the show when he surprised a random group of tourists by bringing them into the audience. The fans thought they were entering a museum exhibit, so they were shocked to find themselves in the audience of the Oscar Awards.
One of the female tourists identified Denzel Washington as her favorite actor. Denzel officiate a pretend wedding between her and her fiancé, as she took pictures using her selfie stick. Jennifer Aniston even gave away her sunglasses to a tourist.
Damien Chazelle, director of “La La Land” and son of history Professor Celia Chazelle at the College, took home the award for best director.
His leading actress in “La La Land,” Stone, took home the award for best actress in a leading role. She thanked the director and Gosling.
To end the night, the award for best picture went to Chazelle’s film, “La La Land.” The modern, classic musical had a total 14 nominations. But, as the producers were thanking their families, the Oscar producers realized the award actually went to “Moonlight.”
The wrong card had been given to the presenter and the producers of “Moonlight” took the stage to correct the mistake.
The producers of “Moonlight” couldn’t believe they won, but they took a moment to give love to the cast and crew of “La La Land.” In their speech, the producers said they hope to inspire all minority populations with their win.

The thought behind graphics is more important than the design of an image, according to a prominent graphic designer who spoke at the College on Friday, Feb. 17.
Craig Welsh, principal and creative director of Go Welsh designs and co-founder of Society of Design, spoke during the College’s Brown Bag lecture series in a speech entitled “Narrow Minded.” For Welsh, graphic design comes down to being single minded, but not in a closed-minded way.
Being narrow minded at Go Welsh means being meticulous. They strive to design simple, but effective graphics at the Lancaster, Pa., studio.
For example, Welsh read students a long quote by Eleanor Roosevelt and explained how to make the quote more single focused.
The end result was that the quote could be summed up by “Consider what has value. The whole point of life.”
Welsh’s design process focuses primarily on research. In his process, graphic design is 5 percent design, as in feeling you get from an image, and 95 percent design thinking, which is the strategy behind the art.
He said his interns are most surprised to learn that the creating doesn’t happen until about the fourth step of the project. Welsh is always looking for creative ways to ask speakers to appear at the annual conference. He illustrated his creative flow by explaining how the society came up with its project to ask Jessica Hische to give a speech.
Hische was originally from Pennsylvania, like Go Welsh designs, but moved out to California for her business. After making a list of everything they could find about Hische, the society decided to use her home state and social media presence as the basis for the invite.
The idea for the invite was to use 27 Pennsylvania license plates to spell out their request. This meant convincing 27 people to legally change their plates and explaining to the Department of Transportation why they needed questionable letter combinations approved. The end result was a photograph of all the plates on a wall that was used to tweet at Hische.
“Bigness is undeniable. Loudness is undeniable,” Welsh said about the tweet.
Welsh specifically made the invitation public to make it harder on Hische to decline. As the tweet gained more attention, Hische eventually responded that the effort made her cry and she would definitely speak at the conference.
“I like how he explained that design strategy is 95 percent of the process,” said Maria Fegeley, a sophomore graphic design major. “As a graphic design major, this made me excited for the future.”
At Go Welsh, blending life and work experiences is the core of the company. Welsh, whose career started in architecture before switching to graphic design, emphasized researching clients inspires his work along with his own experiences.
After his divorce, Welsh designed a snarky campaign for Barneys New York around the theme of registering items on a bridal registry that you wouldn’t want to fight over in court. While in college he incorporated his humor into all of his projects, including advertisements for the graphic design department that were centered around double entendres.
“I loved the way he expressed how his work is part of his life experience,” said Emily Fuentes, a junior communication studies major. “His passion made me want to get out there and create something.”
Welsh reminded students that the most important skill in communication is listening because a client often isn’t being direct with what they want. He wanted students to understand the value of creating meaningful work.
“You know what a job well done gets you — more work,” Welsh said. “When you finish a project with a company, you want them to give you another project right away.”
For Welsh, a job well done creates a lasting impression on the design community.

As it gets closer to the premiere of Disney’s live-action film “Beauty and the Beast” on March 17, Disney has begun to tease other upcoming projects to keep fans excited. Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, has signed on to play Simba in the live-action version of “The Lion King.”
James Earl Jones will once again return to Pride Rock to portray Mufasa from the 1994 animated movie. Actress Angela Lansbury has joined the cast of Disney’s upcoming sequel “Mary Poppins Returns,” playing the Balloon Lady who wreaks helium havoc in the park during one of Poppins’s outings with the Banks children.
According to PEOPLE, the character was introduced in “Mary Poppins Comes Back,” the second book in P.L Travers’s series. Lansbury originally voiced Mrs. Potts in the 1991 animated version of “Beauty and the Beast.”
The Beckham family headed to Canada for a fun and exciting vacation on the mountains. David Beckham admitted it was his first time hitting the slopes on Instagram, while his wife Victoria posted her matching snow outfits with her daughter, Harper.
“It’s so beautiful up here plus having a special time,” Beckham wrote on Instagram on Friday, Feb. 17. “Btw my first time ever boarding or even on the slopes.”
The eldest Beckham child, Brooklyn, broke his collarbone during the trip after posting a video on Instagram showing off his skills.
Despite her sister Kendall Jenner walking the runway during Paris Fashion Week, Kim Kardashian West will not return to the city five months after her high-profile robbery. Her rep confirmed that she did not plan to attend. In early February, Kardashian West met with French authorities in New York City, where she testified in the robbery case to identify the men that broke into her apartment.
Ed Sheeran rung in his birthday by giving the world a gift: a new song off his upcoming album. Sheeran admitted it was a favorite of his. “How Would You Feel (Paean)” follows hit singles “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill.”
The music video features Sheeran rocking a classic flannel and crooning the ballad in one room as the camera pans around him. The romantic song was rumored to be his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn’s, favorite track off the new album, “Divide.” Sheeran has known Seaborn since high school, and it was rumored that the two have been a couple since 2015, but only recently went public.
Personally, I am excited to see more music from Sheeran in the next month.

Hollywood’s baby bump club grew after Amal Clooney announced she was pregnant with twins, according to several sources confirmed by PEOPLE. As if Beyoncé’s pregnancy wasn’t enough, the music moguls can now have playdates with the Clooneys.
George Clooney, a notorious playboy for most of his career, will now take on the role of fatherhood. In the meantime, pregnancy hasn’t slowed down Amal, who continues to jetset around the world as a human rights lawyer and visit her husband on set.
While working with Clooney last fall, Matt Damon learned of the couple’s pregnancy. Damon almost started crying when he heard the news, but cautioned Clooney not to spread the word until Amal was at least 12 weeks along, according to US magazine.
“I’m thrilled for him. She’s amazing. He hit the jackpot. Just on every level. She is a remarkable woman. They’re gonna be great. They’re gonna be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky,” Damon told “Entertainment Tonight Canada.”
After being hospitalized for less than a week following an all-terrain vehicle accident, Jamie Lynn Spears’s 8-year-old daughter, Maddie, is back home and recovering, PEOPLE confirmed.
“Maddie Aldridge, 8-year-old daughter of entertainer Jamie Lynn Spears, has been discharged from the Children’s Hospital in New Orleans,” the hospital told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. “She is breathing well and interacting with loved ones. Doctors say she is on the way to a full recovery.”
Spears took to Instagram to thank all the first responders that helped her daughter’s speedy recovery. Maddie’s aunt, Britney Spears, also used social media to thank fans for their prayers, citing that her niece’s recovery was a miracle.
Over the weekend, Adam Levine received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Maroon 5 frontman was joined by wife Behati Prinsloo and 4-month-old daughter, Dusty Rose, for the momentous occasion.
“I have a daughter, I have the most beautiful wife in the entire world,” Levine said during the ceremony. “I’m one of the luckiest people who’s ever lived, and it has nothing to do with me, it has to do with the people who love me the most. So, I thank all of those people.”
Levine wasn’t the only lucky one this week. Thanks to College Spokesperson Dave Muha, the entire campus enjoyed a well-needed snow day on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Beyoncé is having twins. The news broke the internet on Wednesday, Feb. 1, when the artist posted a photo on Instagram.
“We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over,” she wrote. “We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.”
The post broke the record for the most liked Instagram, beating out Selena Gomez who previously held the title. The social media sphere was shocked by the news. Memes instantly surfaced and fans took to Twitter to express their excitement.
Over the weekend, Prince Harry got competitive in a charity run alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The royal trio stopped by the start line of the London Marathon Community Track in the shadow of the 2012 Olympic Stadium in support of Heads Together, their ongoing campaign to raise awareness for mental health.
“You nearly beat me!” William playfully said to Kate on the finish line before joking to his teammates that he had tunnel vision during the race, according to PEOPLE.
Earlier in the week, Prince Harry hit the town with his girlfriend of nearly six months, Meghan Markle. The two were spotted walking hand in hand in the West End of London.
During Super Bowl LI on Sunday, Feb. 5, the ladies of “Hamilton” made a statement during their rendition of “America the Beautiful.” Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Jasmine Cephas Jones, the hit Broadway musical’s Schuyler sisters, made the crowd go wild with their twist on the classic.
Lady Gaga turned heads during her halftime performance as she jumped from the top of the stadium to the stage. Singing a medley of her hits in a sparkly one-piece and high heels, the songstress showed off her dance moves.
While her songs contain underlying messages about LGBTQ and equality issues, Gaga steered clear of making a direct political statement, despite speculation. Instead, she focused on her showmanship, concluding her performance with a mic drop and a football catch as she jumped from the stage.
Tom Brady became the first quarterback in history to win five Super Bowl rings. His career has been flooded or inflated, if you will, with controversy. Nonetheless, he took a 25-point deficit head-on and rallied his team for an overtime victory. Not to mention he looked pretty great doing it.
Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, John Travolta and Elton John were among the many celebrities in attendance to watch Brady win the game.

Also this week, legend Mary Tyler Moore passed away at 80 years old.
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, Moore left behind a legacy that changed the way women were represented on television. “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” aired on CBS from 1970 to 1977 and featured Moore as Mary Richards, a single woman dedicated to her career.
Gavin MacLeod, who played Moore’s onscreen friend Murray Slaughter, used a line from the show’s iconic theme song as a metaphor for the years they spent together.
“A line from our theme song was ‘Love is all around,’ and that’s what it was for five days a week for seven years straight on the ‘Mary Tyler Moore’ set,” MacLeod told PEOPLE. “It was all because of Mary.”
Meanwhile, at the Sundance Film Festival, Paul Rudd stepped out with his wife, Julie Yaeger Rudd. The couple, who have kept their two-decade relationship largely private, will share the credit on the upcoming film “Fun Mom Dinner,” an adult comedy about a girls’ night out.
Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the “Harry Potter” franchise, spoke at the Universal Orlando’s Celebration of Harry Potter with a message for underdogs.
Lewis admitted to feeling uncomfortable because he often wore a fat suit onscreen as Neville. However, he found that as Neville grew, he, too, experienced a similar journey.
“There’s a lot of pressure heaped on young people these days, and I think a lot of it is unnecessary,” he said. “We’re all just trying to make our way.”

On Saturday, Jan. 21, millions of Americans gathered across the world to protest against President Donald Trump’s first day in office. Celebrities, both men and women, joined the women’s march to stand up for women’s rights.
Actress America Ferrera kicked off the Washington D.C. assembly with a speech.
“But the president is not America,” Ferrera said. “His cabinet is not America. Congress is not America. We are America.”
The protest in Washington D.C. also featured speeches from Gloria Steinem, Madonna and Scarlett Johansson.
Millions of Americans gathered across the world to protest against President Donald Trump’s first day in office (envato elements).
Using Instagram and Twitter as a platform, celebrities further showed their support.
Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer maintained live updates from the protests on social media, which featured photos with Amy Poehler and Uzo Aduba. Emma Watson was spotted on social media asking police to move a barricade, so she could interact with other activists.
Vanessa Hudgens, Bella Thorne and Chrissy Teigen also kept up a social media presence during the march. Teigen took on backlash from Twitter users as she commented on Trump’s inaugural address. She tweeted about how the negative comments inspired her to skip the Sundance Film Festival and head to Washington D.C. instead.
On Saturday, the famous film festival also held a walk in solidarity with the movement, where Teigen’s husband John Legend took part.
Jake Gyllenhaal accompanied his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal to the march, while Katy Perry marched with her sister Angela Hudson.
“My heart is most proud to march with my blood sister, Angela, who has always been my guardian angel. We should all be guardians for each other,” Perry wrote on Instagram.
Ferrera’s “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” co-star Amber Tamblyn marched alongside Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
“Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez posted a picture from the march wearing a T-shirt that read, “Torch Your Bra.”
Melissa Benoist proved she was a real-life “Supergirl” by marching with a sign that said, “Hey Donald, don’t try to grab my pussy — it’s made of steel.”
Across the pond, actor Lin-Manuel Miranda tweeted from the women’s march in London.
After only 24 hours of being a private citizen, former Secretary of State John Kerry marched in Washington D.C. accompanied by his dog.
In Los Angeles, Miley Cyrus represented the Happy Hippie Foundation, proving that the movement was inclusive for all.
Although not spotted in person, Meryl Streep was represented on T-shirts and signs at various protests. Signs read, “What Meryl said” and “Meryl is accurately rated.” Other celebrities that did not physically march, such as Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian, tweeted about their support for the movement.
Around the world, artists, entertainers and actors stood alongside everyday men and women to push for issues that predominantly face women. Watching this movement was inspiring and uplifting. While typically only celebrity's materialistic moments are reported on, this movement made me proud to write about the historic moment featuring these talented figures.

As the end of the year approaches, we can begin to reflect on 2016. As a culture, we followed the highly contested presidential election, saw an outpouring of memes and paid close attention to the whereabouts of Taylor Swift.
The year has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride filled with emotions, and I think everyone is excited for it to be over. Possibly besides President-elect Donald Trump who will actually have to take the White House in 2017.
This week, “Saturday Night Live” maintained its streak of making fun of Trump’s antics. Attacking Trump’s tweeting habits, the show commented on how Trump’s focus on social media is taking away from his White House preparations.
Trump fired back via Twitter, saying that the show is biased. He also wrote that Alec Baldwin’s impersonation “can’t get any worse.”
Baldwin retaliated by tweeting back that he would stop the gig if Trump released his tax returns, which has been another hot topic in 2016.
Jennifer Aniston also made an appearance on “SNL” during its “Weekend Update” segment. Aniston asked cast member Vanessa Bayer to stop impersonating her “Friends” character Rachel Green.
The two squabbled over the accusation that Green never contributed much to conversations during her run on the sitcom. Bayer and Aniston are appearing together in the upcoming movie “Office Christmas Party.”
As if 2016 couldn’t get anymore cringeworthy, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd proved the year had more to give. After their recent breakup, the two were forced to run into each other on the Victoria’s Secret runway.
Hadid walked in her first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, where her ex-boyfriend also performed. Photos were released that showed The Weeknd trying to serenade his ex on the runway.
The model stayed calm, cool and collected as she strutted past him. The two exchanged polite smiles before Hadid stole the spotlight back.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher were able to provide some good news in this desolate year as they announced the birth of their second child together. Dimitri Portwood Kutcher, who was born in the early hours of Wednesday, Nov. 30, joined the couple’s other daughter Wyatt Isabelle.
Kutcher and Kunis say they keep their children out of the spotlight. According to the couple, the children can decide if they would like to be in the public eye when they are older. I would like to personally thank Kunis and Kutcher for reminding us that there is still good in the world.
As the semester finishes off, I thank you for another wonderful semester of keeping up with celebrity drama. From the Royal Family to award season, I’m excited to see what 2017 will bring us. Mostly, I’ll continue patiently waiting for Taylor Swift to release new music throughout the new year.

While I still have not come to terms with the last four words in “Gilmore Girls: A Year in The Life,” there won’t be any major spoilers in this article. The ladies of Stars Hollow came, saw and conquered in the Netflix revival that was released on Friday, Nov. 25. Fans were treated to old faces like Kirk, who now owns a pig, and Gypsy, who fans may have noticed doubled as Emily’s latest maid, Berta. The four-part series ended on a cliff-hanger that left fans dying for more. The show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, kept her cool when asked about further episodes.
“We really had a very specific journey in our minds and we fulfilled the journey,” Sherman-Palladino told Hollywood Reporter. “So to us, this is the piece that we wanted to do. And the whole thought about is there more, is there more, is there more — this has to go out into the universe now. We’ve got to put this to bed. And then whatever happens, happens.”
What creator Sherman-Palladino doesn’t realize is that we can’t just leave this up to the universe — I have questions that demand answers. Mostly, I just need to know what Rory’s future holds because like the younger Gilmore, many millennials are struggling to find the life path they want to take.
Scott Patterson, who plays everyone’s favorite diner owner, Luke, said he enjoyed the experience so much that he wouldn’t mind doing a revival every year. I think all “Gilmore Girls” fans are in agreement that a revival every year would be best for all parties. Overall, the revival made me laugh and cry. But now that it is over, I can finally start getting back to my daily life.
Kanye West has been struggling to maintain his own daily routine. After a public meltdown and the cancellation of his Life of Pablo tour, West checked himself into the hospital. West was admitted for exhaustion and dehydration. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, his wife Kim Kardashian-West refused to leave her husband’s side. She has been sleeping at the hospital and even feeding Kanye. The only time she leaves his side is to be with the couple’s two kids, North and Saint.
Laurie Hernandez added another shiny trophy to her already impressive medal count when she won “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday, Nov. 22. While it has not been confirmed if Hernandez brought the trophy to Thanksgiving, her reaction to winning was certainly something for which we should all be thankful.
“I just want to thank everyone for their support and riding along this crazy roller coaster of my life,” Hernandez said. “And, my goal is just to inspire others as I go on with my journey, and thanks for being there for me.”
The Victoria’s Secret Angels headed off to Paris this week to film their famous fashion show. Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid joined veterans Lily Aldridge and Alessandra Ambrosio for the plane ride. Angel Behati Prinsloo won’t be participating this year, as she recently gave birth, but she guaranteed that she will be back on the runway next year. That is the kind of motivation we all need to make it to the end of the semester.

In the wake of the presidential elections results, the internet was set ablaze by memes. Even celebrities joined in and voiced their opinions on the outcome. Lady Gaga took part in an anti-Donald Trump protest outside of Trump Tower in New York City in the early hours of Wednesday, Nov. 9. She held up a sign that read, “Love Trumps Hate.” On Saturday, Nov. 12, Michael Moore and his film crew attempted to ride the Trump Tower elevator to meet up with the new president-elect Trump. Moore planned to deliver a note that read, “You lost. Step aside.” However, they were stopped on the fourth floor by secret service.
Ellen Degeneres used the opening of her talk show to give Americans a message of hope. Degeneres used humor and a viral video of an iguana that escaped a band of snakes to lighten the mood. She reminded viewers who may be upset over the results that the iguana made it and the country will, too.
“Obviously, a lot of people were disappointed by the results,” Degeneres said. “My job is to be hopeful and to make everybody feel good, and I’m gonna keep doing that for as long as I can. I will do it because I love you.”
NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” also used its opening minutes to deliver a message of hope. While honoring the late Leonard Cohen, Kate McKinnon dressed as Hillary Clinton and played “Hallelujah” on the piano. At the end of the song, McKinnon fought back tears and said directly to the camera, “I’m not giving up and neither should you.”
The episode also hosted Dave Chappelle in his return to television. His opening monologue renewed his unapologetic humor about issues like race.
“You know, I didn’t know that Donald Trump was going to win the election. I did suspect it,” Chappelle began his monologue. “It seemed like Hillary was doing well in the polls and yet... I know the whites. You guys aren’t as full of surprises as you used to be.”
Chappelle took a serious moment during his opening remarks to wish Trump the best of luck. He admitted that he was willing to give President-elect Trump a chance, if Trump was willing to give the historically disenfranchised a chance in return. In a skit entitled “Election Night,” a black man watches the election results with his liberal-minded, white friends. Having personally faced racism, Chappelle’s character knows there is a strong possibility that Trump could become president. His friends, however, are convinced the Clinton campaign will win. As the night goes on, Chappelle’s character watches his friends come to the realization that “America is racist” and their country is not what they thought it was.
Nearly a week after the election, celebrities are starting to get back to their daily drama. Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian delivered some exciting news on Thursday, Nov. 10, when their daughter Dream Renee Kardashian was born. Leading up to the C-section, the couple participated in the viral mannequin challenge, where people attempt to remain completely still. The video featured Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner. The family spared no time sharing videos and pictures of the newborn.
Later in the day, Kardashian took over his older sister Kim’s website to share photos from Halloween. The West family were photographed wearing matching costumes from the movie “Aladdin.” North and Saint West were dressed as Princess Jasmine and Aladdin, respectively, while Kim matched her daughter.
Conor McGregor delivered a knockout in Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) New York Debut on Saturday, Nov. 12. McGregor became the first competitor to hold up two UFC belts at the same time when he beat lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez. Demi Lovato was there to watch with UFC Fighter Luke Rockhold, who she has been linked to for a few months. This was the couple’s first public outing together.
There is no doubt that there will be plenty to report on in the coming months about the presidential election and the place of celebrities in politics, but for now, we will continue to keep up with the Kardashians and fawn over budding celebrity relationships.

With the highly contested election finally over, stars who hit the campaign trail for a candidate can now go back to their daily routines.
Since she was robbed in France, Kim Kardashian West has found it difficult to go back to her usual lifestyle. In the most recent episode of “Keeping up With the Kardashians,” Kardashian West revealed that she has been struggling with anxiety even before the break-in.
“I think about it all the time. It drives me crazy,” Kardashian West said. “I just want to get (past) my anxiety and live life… I never had anxiety and I want to take back my life.”
The episode also focused on Kendall Jenner’s struggle with anxiety, which was mentioned throughout the season. During a filmed conversation with a therapist, Jenner spoke about her struggle with panic attacks, which she said arise whenever she flies.
Kardashian West, on the other hand, said her anxiety occurs mostly when she drives somewhere. To cope with their anxieties, the pair began meditation classes. They planned to put these calming techniques to work before any future travels.
Still, nothing could stop the two from coming out for Jenner’s 21st birthday bash. The model celebrated her milestone birthday in a low-cut catsuit and fur to celebrate the big day with lots of champagne. Her sisters surprised her with a cake that featured a throwback photo of Jenner in a ballet get-up. But best of all — Jenner was gifted a Rolls Royce from an unnamed source and forgot she had received the car the next morning.
“She was like, ‘Oh my God. I forgot I got a car last night!’” Kardashian West said. “That’s how drunk she was. She was so drunk on her 21st birthday.”
Kris Jenner celebrated her own 61st birthday over the weekend. Jenner held a combined birthday dinner with public relations executive Simon Huck. The party guest list included Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick, Chris Brown, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Jonathan Cheban and Jenner’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble.
In other celebrity news, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have been getting cozy since Halloween. The pair spent the holiday together along with Jonas’s band. Most recently, the pair was spotted at the Oude Luxor Theater in Rotterdam for a pre-MTV Europe Music Awards concert that featured Kings of Leon at Netherlands on Saturday, Nov. 5. A source told People that it appeared the two were on a date, as they were seen kissing on multiple occasions.
Another power couple in the making is Taylor Swift and Drake, but not in a romantic way. After Swift attended Drake’s birthday bash in October, rumors of a collaboration began circulating. On Thursday, Nov. 3, the rapper added fuel to the fire by posting a photo of himself with the “Shake It Off” singer at his birthday bash.
“Is that velvet?” Drake captioned the photo, which was quickly liked by Swift, according to People.
Swift’s gal-pal Lorde also made music news by posting a note to Facebook on the eve of her 20th birthday. The star revealed personal details about the last three years and her take on growing up.
“I want nothing more than to spill my guts RIGHT NOW about the whole thing,” Lorde said. “I want you to see the album cover, pore over the lyrics (the best I’ve written in my life), touch the merch, experience the live show. I can hardly stop myself from typing out the name. I just need to keep working a while longer to make it as good as it can be.”

After hosting a “dead dinner” for her friends and family over the “Hallo-weekend,” Kylie Jenner proved she’s the queen of costumes. Jenner dressed as Christina Aguilera circa 2002 for the spookiest weekend of the year. Donning a platinum wig with dark lowlights, Jenner rocked the look from Aguilera’s “Dirrty” music video, including the infamous chaps.
Her sister, Kendall, took a more classic approach to the holiday by dressing as a goth vampire. Comedian Amy Schumer opted for the pop-culture reference of the moment with boyfriend Ben Hanisch. The couple went as a gender-bent Dustin and Eleven from “Stranger Things.” The couple sang karaoke and rode bikes, which really helped the holiday retain an ’80s party spirit.
Chrissy Teigen couldn’t decide on just one costume for her baby Luna’s first Halloween, so the model gave her daughter a fashion show on Instagram. The crowd favorite was Luna dressed up as hot dog, which makes sense, since her mom is famous for her cookbooks. Other costumes included Minnie Mouse, a banana and a peacock.
It’s no surprise that during the spooky season, a new mystery has unfolded around Prince Harry’s illustrious love life. The prince has most recently been linked to “Suits” actress Meghan Markle. The potential couple met in May in Toronto when Harry was promoting the Invictus Games and Markle was on the set of her show. Super sleuths noticed that the two have been photographed separately wearing very similar blue-beaded bracelets. Markle got divorced in 2011 after a long-term relationship with Trevor Engelson, who worked in film production. While the relationship has yet to be confirmed, Markle is undoubtedly smart, talented and beautiful, so this could be the one who breaks the mold for Harry.
Michael Phelps broke the news that he and Nicole Johnson have been married since June, but held a second wedding ceremony on Friday, Oct. 28. During Phelps’s Olympic run, the couple referenced that they would be tying the knot in Cabo San Lucas after the games ended. They failed to mentioned that they had been married the entire time after a civil ceremony in Arizona in June. Since the ceremony was small, the couple plans to throw a lavish party for the rest of their friends when they get back to the states.
The mystery of what’s been going on in Stars Hollow for the last 10 years is soon to be revealed in the upcoming “Gilmore Girls” revival. On Tuesday, Oct. 25, a new trailer was released for “A Year in the Life,” which showed us where our favorite fast-talking ladies are now. Rory appears to be back from reporting on the Obama trail and is having trouble finding what she should do next. All of her former love interests appear in the trailer, but the most noteable is Jess, who had the most screen time of all three in the trailer. Loralei is still with Luke, but there seems to be trouble in paradise. I truly hope that the conclusion of the revival shows our girls having figured it all out in a year because I could really use that kind of timeline in my own life.
