A TCNJ Fall Tradition: Community Fest

Community Fest is a fall tradition bringing together the Township of Ewing and the College. Filled with local vendors, a book fair, a car meet, food trucks, performances, inflatables and more, the event was free to attend on Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Partners including the College, the Township of Ewing, Ewing Public Schools, as well as sponsors make Community Fest possible. What’s New at TCNJ | Fall 2026

The start of a new school year brings new changes to the College’s campus. In this video, News Editor Gloria Vittadello takes us through the three main changes at the College — the TCNJ Bookstore located in the R. Barbara Gitenstein Library; the now-renamed Roscoe’s Market, formerly the Convenience Store; and lastly, the opening of Campustown Grill. TCNJ dances with Jersey Joe at the first-ever CUB Content Corner

Viral content creator @jerseyyjoe, who has built a following of more than 1 million across TikTok and Instagram, visited campus April 21 for the College Union Board’s first-ever Content Corner. A Montclair State University graduate and former mascot, Jersey Joe, collaborated with students to create social media content, drawing strong turnout from students and organizations on campus The event began with reserved time slots for registered student organizations before opening to all students on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees had the opportunity to film videos, learn dance moves and engage directly with the influencer known for his distinct dance moves. From the State House: NJ Democrats resurrect ICE bills in face of strong Republican opposition

Demonstrators gathered outside the New Jersey State House for the “Take New Jersey Back” rally ahead of a Senate session on immigration bills on Monday. Hosted by Paul Kanitra, the event drew residents to hear from lawmakers, activists and U.S. Senate candidates. Later on Monday, lawmakers advanced three ICE-related measures to Mikie Sherrill, who signed off on the bills on Wednesday, putting them into effect for the state of New Jersey. Each bill had previously been vetoed by former Gov. Phil Murphy in his last day of office, including proposals involving law enforcement face coverings and federal cooperation. From the State House: Gov. Mikie Sherrill unveils record $60.7 billion first budget

Gov. Mikie Sherrill has proposed a $60.7 billion budget for fiscal year 2027, increasing funding for schools and public transportation while cutting more than $2 billion from other programs to offset costs. The plan includes $372 million more for K-12 public schools and $213 million for public transit, while reducing funding for several programs, including a $500 million cut to the StayNJ senior property tax relief program. Sherrill said the change would focus the benefit on middle-class seniors earning $250,000 or less. Republican lawmakers, including Sen. Anthony Bucco and Sen. Declan O’Scanlon Jr., criticized the proposal, raising concerns about cuts to property tax relief and the elimination of some business tax deductions. The proposal represents a 1.6% increase over the current state budget and now heads to the Legislature for hearings and negotiations before the June budget deadline. New Jersey Assembly Public Safety Committee advances immigration safety bills

This video was produced in collaboration with the NJ State House News Service (https://njstatenews.com) Immigration enforcement and immigrant protections took center stage at the New Jersey State House as the Assembly Committee on Public Safety and Preparedness debated three major bills. Amid rising ICE activity across the state, lawmakers, community members and more gathered in Trenton to discuss proposals on law enforcement identification, data privacy, and protections for immigrant communities. Internet personalities Noel Miller and Connor Wood perform at CUB’s Spring comedy show

Comedians and online influencers Noel Miller and Connor Wood touched down in Central Jersey to perform sets at the College Union Board’s 2026 Spring concert on campus on Feb. 3. The show sees the comedian, musician, director, podcaster and web celebrity Miller kicking off his “Noel Miller: New Supply Tour,” while Connor wraps up his beloved “Fibs & Friends” tour on its final leg. Students lined up hours before the free admission show at the Kendall Hall Main Stage Theater. Massive winter storm brings snow to TCNJ’s campus

A winter storm dropped approximately 8 inches of snow on the College’s campus Sunday, just one day before the Spring semester was scheduled to begin. TCNJ A Cappella presents Halloween-themed performance ‘Acapalooza’

The College’s three a cappella teams hosted Acapalooza, their annual fall show, on Oct. 24 in the Mildred and Ernest E. Mayo Concert Hall. TCNJ Treblemakers, i-Tunes and the Trentones, brought distinct performances to the concert hall, recreating popular songs using only vocals. Emmy Award-winning documentarian Kyra Knox screens ‘Bad Things Happen in Philadelphia,’ holds Q&A

Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Kyra Knox brought her documentary “Bad Things Happen in Philadelphia” to the College for a screening and Q&A. From Executive Producer and NBA Legend Allen Iverson, the film looks to show the effects of gun violence on young men, women and mothers living in Philadelphia, featuring some of the neighborhoods Knox grew up in. Looking to basketball and other positive outlets for youth as opposed to violence, see how influential nonprofit organizations “Shoot Basketballs Not People” and “Mothers In Charge” use their experiences and voices to make change for the better. TCNJ men’s soccer dominates Immaculata in season opener with new coach

The team was led by new head coach Steve DeMatteo for the first time yet, marking his first ever win with the College.
