Most people who follow pop culture know the hit Netflix show, “Stranger Things” in which a team of teenagers from Hawkins, Indiana battle the evil forces of Vecna and the Mindflayer while creating stronger friendships and going through a period of self discovery.
What the public did not know until quite recently was that Maya Hawke, the actress who plays Robin Buckley in “Stranger Things” married Christian Lee Hutson this past Valentine’s Day.
Hutson is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known for his indie pop and rock style of music. His more well known albums include “Beginners” and “Paradise Pop,” which contribute to his mellow, folksy music vibe.
Hawke and Hutson met through music. The two of them collaborated multiple times to create Hawke’s albums “Chaos Angel” and “Moss.” Together, they’ve created excellent music that whispers in your ear and focuses on love and growth.
Their relationship began as friends and music collaborators, but after several rumors in 2023, they made it public that they were dating during a red carpet appearance in the spring of 2025.
All of this led up to their wedding on Feb. 14, which took place in New York City. Several of the “Stranger Things” cast members were in attendance. In addition to the bride and groom’s family members, stars like Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery and Natalia Dyer all came to support their castmate and embrace her celebration with Hutson.
The new couple got married at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan and the reception took place in The Players Club. Hawke wore a long satin white gown with a simple feathered white coat. Her style was very simple and had a vintage elegance that came with it. Hutson was wearing a classic fit as well. He walked through the city with a black Prada tuxedo and a white floral boutonniere.
During a time in which there is a lot of turmoil throughout the United States, there is nothing like a celebration of love to show that there is still goodness wired within all of us. Hawke and Hutson’s chemistry is palpable throughout each song they’ve created together. Their wedding gave off a message of quiet strength, emphasizing that there is love all around us.
