From past to present, 5 generations celebrate 60 years of WTSR

“The Eras of Panel” on stage included Tom Weiss, class of ‘75, Laurie Evans, ‘86, Kenyatta Cheese, ‘96, Madison Ouellette-Hays, ‘16 and the current station manager, Addie DiPietro, a junior history secondary education major. Alfieri hosted the panel and asked the generations questions about their time at WTSR. Listening and watching the five panelists looked and sounded like a live podcast. Everyone in the audience was laughing and interacting with those on stage.

Eric Dane dead after a fierce 10-month battle with ALS

Throughout his time with ALS, Dane was committed to advocating for the disease and raising further awareness. Dane used his platform as a voice for those affected by ALS, and emphasized the importance of research, care, and community support needed for the disease. In September 2025, Dane was named the recipient of the Advocate of the Year Award.
