On Sunday Feb. 6 at 1:55 a.m., Campus Police was dispatched to Cromwell Hall to investigate a report of broken glass and blood in the second-floor main stairwell. At 1:56 a.m. Campus Police responded to a call of a white male entering Travers Hall, bleeding profusely from his hands.
Upon arrival, an officer observed a trail of blood leading into the building, through the lobby and into the elevator. The trail continued to the sixth-floor elevator lobby and led the officer to a room.
Campus Police knocked on the door but received no answer. After several attempts, the officer opened the door with the master key, and found two male students with lacerations on their right hands.
When asked how they injured their hands, one student said that the two were drinking at an off-campus house and returned to visit a friend in Cromwell. He then received a phone call from his girlfriend ending their relationship.
The student said that he became angry and punched a window in the second floor main stairwell, breaking it and injuring his hand. News of the breakup also angered the other student, who proceeded to punch the window and injure his hand in a similar manner.
The two men were treated by Lions EMS and refused transport to the hospital. Both were taken to Campus Police for processing and were released at 3:30 a.m.

On Wednesday Feb. 9 at 1:35 a.m., Campus Police was dispatched to Townhouses South on a harassment complaint.
Upon arrival, an officer met with a female House Assistant (HA). Investigation revealed that the HA discovered postings on a male resident's door which she found threatening.
The postings read, "This house may be under surveillance but you are too!! one slip up and your done!!" and "Stop slipping shit under my door bitches!!! unless you like being on your knees!" The words "Slut HA" were also written on the student's nametag on his door.
The HA told Campus Police that she felt harassed and threatened by these postings and feared for her safety. She also said that the problems between her and the male resident were ongoing.
Campus Police notified the professional staff on duty and Sean Stallings, Complex Coordinator, responded to the scene. Stallings was familiar with the problem between the HA and the resident.
While talking to the resident in his doorway, Campus Police noticed what appeared to be fireworks under his bed. When Campus Police inquired about the objects, the resident admitted that they were fireworks and handed them over to police.
At this time, Stallings decided to remove the resident from his room until his hearing date. The resident opted to stay with a friend in Eickhoff Hall.
The student was advised to have no contact with his HA and Campus Police transported him to Eickhoff Hall.
The HA completed an informal statement, and the resident refused to make a statement at this time.
The HA did not want to sign a criminal complaint, and the matter was referred to Residence Life for further action.
