About 250 Venezuelan immigrants reportedly tortured after they were sent to mega prison in El Salvador by Trump Administration

Approximately 252 Venezuelan immigrants in the United States were reportedly flown during night time hours to El Salvador where the migrants were indefinitely imprisoned at the Salvadoran mega prison known as CECOT, or the Terrioism Confinement Center. A recent Human Rights Watch report published on Nov. 12 broke the allegations of the alleged abuse that transpired in March and April 2025.

The International Court of Justice demands Israel allow U.N. relief agency to administer aid in Gaza

The International Court of Justice, the United Nations top legal body, stated that Israel must grant “The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East” or UNRWA to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian territory.

President Trump and other world leaders sign declaration facilitating Israel and Hamas ceasefire deal

In spreading environmentally-friendly initiatives around campus, the Recognized Student Organization advocates for a cleaner and more sustainable campus and greater community.

Furloughed workers not guaranteed back pay after government shutdown stated by White House memo

Approximately 600,000 laid off federal government workers could be denied back pay from unpaid work after the recent government shutdown ends. The idea, suggested by President Trump, could overstep a 2019 law intended to ensure federal employees are reimbursed after a government shutdown.

‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ to return on ABC’s broadcasting network on Tuesday

President Donald Trump in a recent initiative in reducing government size has now gone after the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Operations at the bureau were halted in early February, according to NBC Chicago, and a stream of legal concerns has followed the situation, which puts CFPB efforts to protect consumers in peril.

Harvard University sues Trump administration over funding freeze

Harvard University, in its fight against the Trump administration, filed a lawsuit on Apri 21. against the administration's actions to terminate the university’s funding. Harvard argued that the administration violated its constitutional rights and endangered its “academic independence,” according to the Wall Street Journal. The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court in Massachusetts, NPR reported.
