TCNJ softball splits opening two doubleheaders

The College’s softball team went 2-2 in their opening weekend, winning two games against No. 18 Swarthmore and losing two to No. 25 Salisbury in their Maryland trip. The performances by the Lions led to them sweeping the New Jersey Athletic Conference awards for the week, with freshman infielder Emily Evans winning Player of the Week, junior pitcher Maya Knasiak winning Pitcher of the Week, freshman infielder Morgan Leonhauser winning Rookie of the Week and freshman pitcher Emily Gill winning Rookie Pitcher of the week.

Bernstein addresses ICE, talks campus changes and financial situation

The fiercest Lion: Nick Koch’s path to basketball stardom at TCNJ

Nick Koch became the College’s second all-time leading scorer on Feb. 7. One week later, he became their second all-time leading assister. However, it wasn’t always guaranteed for him that he would be a superstar college athlete the moment he first touched a basketball.

Giant Slayers! TCNJ men’s basketball upsets No. 1 Montclair State

The College’s men’s basketball team pulled off an all-time upset, knocking off undefeated No. 1 Montclair State, 94-85, in both teams’ final regular season game of the season. This is the Lions’ second ranked win this season, giving first year head Coach Evan Elberg a signature win to take into New Jersey Athletic Conference tournament play.

TCNJ women’s track and field wins fifth straight NJAC title, men finish in second

The College’s women’s track and field won their fifth consecutive outdoor New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship, while the men finished in second place for the fifth year in a row. The women scored a point in all 21 events to get to their 223.5 total, helping them to fend off the second-place Rowan team by 3.5 points. The men scored a point in all but one event.

TCNJ track and field celebrates seniors in Lions Invitational

The Lions hosted their annual Lions Invitational this past weekend on April 25 and 26, while additionally sending some athletes to compete in the Penn Relays. The weekend was filled with records and podium finishes during their rare home event.

Three program records fall as TCNJ track and field has dominant weekend

The College’s track and field team made a trip to Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, on April 18 and 19 to compete in the Paul Donahue Invitational. The record-setting weekend consisted of many wins and podium finishes for both the men’s and women’s teams.

The Signal’s 2025 NFL mock draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is just around the corner, as on April 24, the first round will be underway in Green Bay, Wisconsin, marking the first time the city has ever hosted the draft. The Signal’s sports staff has come together for a group mock draft, giving their predictions and reasoning for the first 10 draft picks.

The College’s softball team won four conference games last week, sweeping both Rutgers-Camden and Montclair State in doubleheaders. These wins put them second in the New Jersey Athletic Conference with an 8-2 conference record and 16-12 overall.
