A new era in New York: Islanders win the lottery

The New York Islanders had a very disappointing 2024-25 season. However, with smart selling at the trade deadline, the Islanders had set themselves up for a solid offseason. Two major pieces of news have turned the future of this team around completely: the letting go of their president of hockey operations and general manager, Lou Lamoriello, and winning the 2025 NHL Draft Lottery.

No. 12 TCNJ women’s lacrosse get knocked out of NCAA Tournament in second round

The College’s No. 12 women's lacrosse team fell to No. 17 Stevens in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, losing 15-9. It was not a good day for the Lions, as nothing seemed to go right for them throughout the course of the game.

TCNJ women's lacrosse clinches NJAC title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament

The College’s women’s lacrosse team played their New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament games on April 30 against Stockton University and May 3 against Rowan University. The Lions walked away from the tournament with the NJAC Championship after winning both games.

The College women’s lacrosse team won its last two games over the past week, both of which being New Jersey Athletic Conference games. The first game was against Stockton on April 23, where the College took a commanding win with a score of 16-5.

The 2025 NFL Draft is just around the corner, as on April 24, the first round will be underway in Green Bay, Wisconsin, marking the first time the city has ever hosted the draft. The Signal’s sports staff has come together for a group mock draft, giving their predictions and reasoning for the first 10 draft picks.

Ovechkin breaks Gretzky's goal record as wild card race heats up in the final stretch

Alexander Ovechkin recently broke Wayne Gretzky’s all time goal record. In a 4-1 loss against the New York Islanders, Ovi scored the only goal for the Capitals and scored the 895th goal of his career. That 895th goal marked the most goals by a single player in NHL history.
