'Falling for Christmas' Review: A Christmas Catastrophe

“Christmas is the time for miracles,” says child actress Olivia Perez in Netflix’s new film “Falling for Christmas.” Unfortunately, it’s not Christmas, and there are no miracles that could have saved the film. “Falling for Christmas” also stars “Mean Girls” actress Lindsay Lohan, Chord Overstreet and George Young. While Netflix released the rom-com on Nov. 10, the film did not kindle any joy for the upcoming holiday season and only created nonsensical cliches, cringe-worthy subplots and terrible acting.

‘Euphoria’ star Hunter Schafer shows true self in visit to campus

Shortly after its season 2 finale, “Euphoria” once again became a hot topic of discussion among those who watched the explosive season from start to finish. That same buzz increased tenfold after the College Union Board (CUB) announced that the actress who played Jules, Hunter Schafer, would be making a guest appearance on Mar. 28 at Kendal Hall.

Pink Shift makes its way to the College for an explosive concert

CUB once again held another lively “Alt” concert, this time starring the bands Pink Shift and See Plus. The concert took place on Feb. 23 and began at 8 p.m. The songs carried the room away as people began dancing erratically, immersing themselves into the loud, heart-felt music.

The Emmy award-winning HBO drama “Euphoria” began airing its second season on Jan. 9, and what a whirlwind it was. Starring Sydney Sweeny and Zendaya, the series was exceptional — not only in its character development, but how every moment felt like an explosion waiting to happen.

‘Archive 81’ review: A fantastic horror-thriller gone off the rails

Netflix recently released its newest original series, “Archive 81,” on Friday, Jan. 14. The show, directed by Rebecca Thomas, stars Dina Shihabi (Melody Pendras), an emotionally damaged undergrad student seeking answers to who she is, and Mamoudou Athie (Dan Turner), a mentally perturbed film restoration expert who receives an unexpected job offer. This horror-based thriller is as riveting as it is grotesque but sadly seems to unravel as the show progresses.

Coffeehouse brings talented young artists out of the woodwork

CUB organized a sensational Coffeehouse Friday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in the lounge of Traditions where everyone was serenaded by talented students with a variety of musical abilities.
