Read More »The men’s basketball season is starting up and it is looking bright for the 2021-2022 Lions squad. On Nov. 12 the Lions played the in-state Division I Rider Broncos in a non-counting scrimmage. The College lost this contest 87-50. The Lions looked to bounce back as they played their first regular season game on Nov. 15. They traveled to Collegeville, PA to play against Ursinus College, the Lions lost 99-72.

Read More »The women’s club crew team at the College has been a club for 10 years now and continues to make changes and improvements. The women’s club crew team meets four days a week at mercer lake for two hour practices where they practice their skills and get in shape. This club is certainly not for the weak-minded — they practice at 5 a.m. and compete in three regattas, or rowing competitions, a semester. As a team, they have made strides in rowing competitions, especially as a club team.
Read More »As of Sept. 27 in Chicago Illinois, The Philadelphia Phillies had just been swept by the Chicago Cubs (68-86) and another September collapse seemed imminent. With a two-game lead for the final wild-card spot slowly slipping after an 11-14 record in September, it seemed that even if the Phillies did stumble their way into the final playoff spot, they would not be going very far. Confidence in the Phillies was not high, but after taking the series 4-1 against the NL-worst Washington Nationals, all the Phillies needed was one more win to clinch a playoff berth. Heading into Houston to take on the AL-leading Houston Astros, Aaron Nola, known for his late-year struggles, pitched a no-hitter heading into the 6th inning. Eventually finished off by stout reliever Jose Alvarado and newly formed closer Zach Eflin. Leading the Phillies to a 3-0 win, and their first playoff berth in 11 years.

Read More »Lions football is entering conference play with an intriguing 1-2 record. Their lone win came from beating Moravian College 31-13 in the home opener on Sept. 3. Strong defense and good quarterback play has led the Lions to take a step forward to start the season. Junior Stephan Begen had a great game throwing for 230 yards and a touchdown to Kevin Pennell in the victory. This was the first time the College won an opening game since 2011.
