OPINION: Final exams are often scheduled poorly at TCNJ

Finals season is a time that many students associate with stress. All that they have learned throughout their courses during the semester culminates into big exams at the end, which count for at least 15% of their grade at the College. This puts a lot of pressure on students to do well in their finals.

A dangerous necessity: Turf

Turf provides a piece of nostalgia for me. Coming home from practice, your parents yell at you for dragging all the tiny black rubber bits into the house. Your shoes are filled with them, and it's like walking with a pins and needles sensation that won't end. Not only that, but those beads seemingly never want to come out. However, turf is more than just the nuisance at the end of practice or a game, it's way more dangerous.

TCNJ football goes 6-1 after win against Kean

Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, was the fourth New Jersey Athletic Conference game of the season. After losing their first NJAC game against Salisbury, the Lions have won three straight games, the most recent of which was against Kean University. The Lions now sit 6-1 on the season, and 3-1 in NJAC games.

OPINION: TCNJ needs to let students reserve group study rooms at the library

On Sept. 26, @tcnjlibrary, the Instagram account for R. Barbara Gitenstein Library, posted an image of the third-floor study rooms with the caption, “Fun fact: Gitenstein Library has more group study rooms than any other public college library in NJ. Get your group work done today. No reservation needed. Study rooms are first-come, first-serve.”

Joe Burrow: Potential trade destinations and Bengals replacements

 Joe Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals' star quarterback, will be out long-term with a foot injury. This injury marks his eighth significant injury dating back to his college career. This injury also comes with the “injury-prone label.” The Bengals, as of now, do not have a serious starting quarterback if they intend to make the playoffs this year.

World’s largest illegal sports streaming platform taken down

The world’s most infamous illegal sports streaming website was taken down on Wednesday, Sept. 3., following a successful sting operation. Egyptian law enforcement officials and the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment terminated the notorious illegal service following a year-long investigation, which led to a raid on the Streameast headquarters on Aug. 24, 2025, resulting in the arrest of two men in Egypt.
